Frogs sitting in tree

Amazon Visions is a collaboration between British filmmaker, Hing Tsang, and Peruvian performer and puppeteer, Jose Navarro. Taking inspiration from the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest and its unique ecology, Amazon Visions is a film for all ages featuring Wandsworth's most beautiful landscapes.

Borrowing in equal measure from contemporary developments in ecological thinking and indigenous folklore, Amazon Visions juxtaposes the movement and gestures of trees, insects, fish, reptiles and mammals. A range of puppetry techniques, both old and new, bring the forest to life. Audiences will encounter different species, immerse themselves in different plant life and travel across tropical waters.

The sounds of the forest are also brought to life through a soundscape composed by Ukrainian musician, Nick Acorne. Lyrical and atmospheric music, representing each species and their encounters with other species, are at the fore of a soundscape which also integrates the sounds of the forest.
