As part of the RAD Community Dance Day, the Royal Academy of Dance offer a selection of taster dance workshops in various styles, with sessions for people of all ages and skill levels.

12.00PM | 1 ticket left! | Movement to the musicals This workshop is open to children (5+), adults, older adults and families that focuses on the wellbeing and joy dance brings inspired by musical theatre and jazz dance. (20 spaces) |
12.45PM | SOLD OUT | Family Ballet with Pointe Black Enjoy ballet for your little one with a twist! Our workshop encourages partnership and storytelling, building your ballet foundation fused with Afro-Caribbean cultural music. For children aged 1-5 yrs and their families. (8 spaces - each space is for a child and adult) |
1.30PM | Creative Contemporary Our Creative Contemporary workshop is an introduction to creative dance as a means of expression, using movement and music to tell a story. For ages 6-8 yrs. (20 spaces) |
2.15PM | Ballet Beginnings with London Children's Ballet Delve into the world of ballet with London Children's Ballet. Find out more about the work we do, try some ballet steps and learn some choreography from our recent performance Snow White. The workshop will be lead by two LCB workshop leaders and accompanied by a live pianist. Suitable for children aged 7-9 years. (20 spaces) |
3.00PM | Step into Dance: Hip Hop Try a hip hop workshop from our Step into Dance programme, one of the UK's largest inclusive secondary dance programmes run in partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation, that aims to provide a creative environment to ignite a passion for dance in young people and support them to grow as dancers. For ages 11-16 yrs. (20 spaces) |
