'On Being Vocal' is an a capella, one-woman, micro-opera performed by Canadian experimental soprano Sarah Parkin, created with Cypriot composer Rania Chrysostomou, and with visuals by British filmmaker Catherine Valve.

Witness what’s happening in this emboldening women’s support group where 6 characters bravely vocalise what they’ve learnt to hide: guilt, embarrassment, vulnerability.

They show us a glimpse into their post-pandemic lives as millennial women. They talk about distorted expectations of real life and how their upbringing prepared them for a different reality. But nothing of this is new. Only the way they are coping with it.
