Art / Exhibitions - Children / Family - Free Event
In Spring/Summer 2024, Wandsworth
Borough Council and the Royal College of
Art co-commissioned ONELAB College to
facilitate the ‘We Love Wandsworth’ project
with Garratt Park School.
The project aimed to creatively explore the
theme of ‘Wandsworth and the World’ using
visual art techniques, offering Special
Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
students the opportunity to explore and
communicate their thoughts and ideas
through a creative medium. The theme
celebrates our local area and the diverse
range of cultural communities within it.
Workshops were delivered by instructors at
ONELAB College, a post-16 specialist
college empowering SEND young people to
discover their voices and carve out their
places in this fast paced world through
design, digital media and entrepreneurship.
ONELAB College was co-founded by
Elsa Ellies and Miles Dunphy who graduated
from the Royal College of Art in June 2016.
SEND students worked individually and
collectively to bring to fruition designs that
represent their love of Wandsworth, a place
they all call home that is rich in culture and
diversity.
